Plans to build a skatepark on the west end of Westside Park can move forward after a green light from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. The Star Press reports Mayor Dan Ridenour said last week that work on the park will begin soon with completion likely this summer. The new amenity will be placed near Tillotson Avenue in a spot formerly used as a model aviation area and is now largely unused green space.
