People are still talking about the 105 year sentence last week imposed by Judge Thomas A. Cannon Jr., Delaware Circuit Court No. 5 – Jason D. Harris (DOB 2/26/1989) was convicted in December of Murder, and more. Delaware County Prosecuting Attorney Eric Hoffman said “Although nothing can bring Erik Sparks back, I am very grateful for the jury verdicts in this case. Harris will now be held accountable for brutally executing Erik Sparks on a cold and dark night last February.”

In the Upper Peninsula of Michigan’s Storm of the Century in 1938, some snow drifts reached the top of utility poles. 86 years ago this week, WLBC meteorologist Paul Poteet reminisced yesterday that snow fell, and gale-force winds piled snow to surreal heights. Muncie drug dealer gets sentenced – Selling fentanyl out of his Muncie house got 27 year old William Henry Cook 11 Years in Federal Prison. He plead guilty to possession with intent to distribute and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. The release says this was from a Feb. 2023 crime.
Saturday night, an Indiana State Trooper was changing a tire for a stranded motorist on I65 in Indy – finished, and while putting away the jack was struck by 22 year old Armaandeep Singh of Indianapolis. Trooper Azariah Keith suffered critical injuries and was last listed in stable but serious condition. Singh has been arrested on the preliminary charges of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated causing serious bodily injury.
