Anderson is writing off more than $710,000 in unpaid utility bills from 2019. The Herald Bulletin reports the money is owed by people for unpaid electric, water, sewer, stormwater and trash bills. It’s not clear if the city plans to do the same thing for outstanding utility balances in 2020. City officials say that number is comparable to previous years.
