The annual J.T. Menifee City Wide Cleanup is Saturday, May 11, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The tradition was started in 1985 by the late ‘Rev. J.T. Menifee’ as a way for the community to do some spring cleaning and come together for a common goal. Last year, the citywide cleanup filled 81 dumpsters and disposed of 236 tons.
