The Indiana Supreme Court has overturned the murder conviction of an Anderson man. The ruling orders a new trial for Trondo Humphrey, who was 16 when he was sentenced to 60 years in prison for the 1995 killing of Benjamin Laflin. The court criticized Humphrey’s attorney for failure to challenge an unsworn statement by a witness who claimed Humphrey said he had shot a man in a truck.
