The head of the local Republican Party says he’s been harrassed over campaign yard signs and has been told to take down some outside GOP headquarters in Muncie. The GOP chair tells the Star Press he received the directive this week from an inspector in the office of Muncie Building Commissioner Craig Nichols. Now GOP officials say they palan to put the signs back out stating the area where they were located is in fact a state-owned roadway not under city jurisdiction.
