Class action suit addresses alleged BMV overcharges

A class-action lawsuit is set to go to trial accusing the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles of overcharging license and title fees. The Wednesday bench trial comes almost three years after the agency settled another class-action lawsuit for $30 million that dealt with driver’s licenses. Those suing the BMV argue it owes Indiana drivers tens of millions of dollars. The agency argued the number isn’t that high and that in some cases it undercharged.
