Four Indiana mayors say the benefits of beefing up bike trails are worth the pushback they say inevitably comes with them. One of those with first-hand knowledge is Muncie Mayor Dennis Tyler. At the Indiana Bike and Walk Summit in Indianapolis, Tyler explained that most opposition melts away once the trails open and people see how they work. Tyler says bikeability has become one of the key things residents and developers look for.
