Payday could be close at hand for city employees in Anderson. City council is considering a proposal by the mayor to include $600 salary increases for workers. The pay raise will be a permanent part of the city’s payroll and increase retirement benefits for city employees. Also, there is no increase in health insurance in the new spending plan after a 7% increase last time around.
