Formal charges are expected to be filed this week against two Muncie men accused of confining three people and shooting one with a nail gun. Robert Walton and Benitez McCullum were preliminarily charged last week after authorities allege they held two women and a man against their will early Thursday in a building in the 3800 block of Broadway. Police say one of the victims was shot at least 11 times in the leg with a nail gun, requiring surgery to remove eight of the nails that were lodged in the victim’s leg bone.
