The Anderson Board of Public Works has awarded a contract for the purchase of equipment that will clear clogged valves for the city’s Water Department. The Herald Bulletin reports that the machine will vacuum out clogged valve boxes and then has the capability to test to make sure the valve is in good working order. Lewis Municipal Sales was awarded the nearly 60-thousand dollar contract on Tuesday.
