Indiana Abortion Law On Hold

Indiana’s new law to prohibit abortions due to genetic disability will not go into effect today. A federal judge granted an injunction against the state brought by Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky. Opponents say the new ban infringes on a woman’s right to seek an abortion. Supporters of the law say it protects against discrimination based on disability. Until the case is settled, it won’t be in effect.
