The population in Madison County has dropped by almost two thousand people in the last 16 years, and officials say that while the four largest communities have seen decreases, the Economic Development Corporation is working to build up businesses and opportunities to draw residents back. Madison County is working with Hamilton County to develop the Interstate 69 corridor from Noblesville to McGalliard Road as a corporate campus and add 50,000 jobs along the interstate in the next quarter century.
