The Indianapolis Zoo is losing its polar bear. The zoo’s exhibit is closing this month and 29-year-old Tundra, will be moving to the Detroit Zoo sometime at the end of June. The exhibit opened in 1988, and is in need of an update. Staff decided Detroit would be a perfect fit for the bear as she gets older.
