Bowling alley, tattoo studio to be replaced by new development

Muncie officials say a former bowling alley on West Kilgore Avenue will be the new location of a $22 million senior retirement facility. A Chicago developer, Vermilion Development, is planning to build an assisted living facility that will house 119 residents and create 35 good paying jobs. The building will be three stories tall and also take over the nearby tattoo studio, and occupy a significant amount of outdoor space on over 3.5 acres.
