Markleville police start GoFundMe project for safe room

Markleville police want to build a safe room at the police station to allow people a safe place to run from an attacker that can be locked from the inside and call 911. The new chief Tim Basey said he has a GoFundMe page to raise $2,000 to purchase materials. Many departments installed safe rooms after a woman was shot just outside of Columbus Ohio after she ran from her husband to the police department but found all the doors locked and the front doors couldn’t be secured from inside. She was shot three times and is now paralyzed.
