If you’re planning to use I-70 this weekend, there’s new construction that’ll affect your travels. Workers are patching concrete on the interstate between Indiana 227 interchange and the Ohio state line.
The Indiana Department of Transportation says Milestone Contractors plans to close the right lane of westbound I-70 in the area as well as the westbound ramp of Exit 156B to eastbound U.S. 40 to do the work.
The project will take about a month and be done on weekends.
Crews also will close one lane of eastbound I-70 between those same exits from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday to install subgrade drainage. That should last for two weekends.
The $9.5 million project also will resurface that stretch of I-70 before the end of the summer.
