They’re still mopping up at Ball State where thousands of general collection books were damaged by a broken pipe in the university’s Bracken Library yesterday. Officials say it happened at the worst time, Saturday night, and had all night to do its damage. The flood, which was compared to a waterfall, damaged the second, third and fourth floors in the library’s west wing. Computers were also damaged. The assistant dean said fortunately, the flood did not get into the library’s archives and special collections.
