Muncie City Council ok’s millions in redevelopment costs

Muncie City Council is opening up their pocketbook and agreed to spend $3.5 million to start the redevelopment of the former Indiana Steel and Wire location on the city’s east side. The funds will begin the infrastructure of the Kitselman Pure Energy park, building sewers, road, streetlights and other changes. According to the Muncie Redevelopment Commission, the project will create about 250 jobs, plus hundreds of others as the project continues.
