After months of planning and discussions, the Carrie M. Hyatt food pantry will officially open to serve Anderson’s west side community today. Anderson Community Schools is providing space for the pantry at the former Morgan-Fenner Elementary School on Brentwood Drive. The food pantry will be open every Tuesday from 4 to 6:30 p.m., with local residents allowed to receive a distribution of food twice a month.
