The Department of Child Services is taking a hard look at its vetting processes. The reason? They accidentally hired a white supremacist. He was hired January 11th, but then fired just over two weeks later after his coworkers found video of him speaking at a white supremacist rally. Senator Tim Lanane of Anderson is concerned that proper vetting isn’t in place. He says it’s vitally important that anybody working for DCS is of high character, and not just for the sake of the children.
