Weather conditions contributed to a serious crash in Madison County that sent one person to the hospital. It happened around 8 a.m. Wednesday on State Road 109 and 1000 South just south of Markleville. According to the Madison County Sheriff’s Department, a 33 year-old Richmond woman lost control of her SUV and crashed into a semi-truck. Police say she wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. She was conscious at the scene and was taken to St. Vincent in Indianapolis. The driver of the semi wasn’t hurt.
