A former local union official who embezzled $80,000 to feed his gambling addiction failed to pay restitution and is in violation of his parole. That’s the word from the Indiana Court of Appeals. The Herald Bulletin reports that 57-year-old Gregory Manis had appealed the revocation of his probation over his failure to repay the missing money to an Anderson-based union.
