Senator Tim Lanane says he will attempt to add civil rights protection for the LGBT community in 2017. The Indiana Senate failed to vote on the legislation and Democrats are attempting to amend the language this week into legislation being considered by the House. Lanane says most of the drama of the 2016 legislative session went away when the Senate failed to act on the legislation, when Republicans couldn’t muster the votes to pass a watered-down version.
