It was an armed robbery attempt that was thwarted by coffee. Police say a masked bandit walked into a convenience store at Main and Hackley Streets in Muncie and pulled a handgun on the clerk. The clerk pulled out a freshly-brewed pot of coffee and threw it in the would-be robber’s face. He took off. No idea of who it was.
