Your evening commute may have taken a detour Monday after an urgent situation shut down a busy Muncie intersection. Emergency crews called to investigate a suspicious package near the three-way intersection of White River Boulevard, White River Road and South Hawthorne Road. The Delaware County Bomb Squad disabled the device, which was described as white with wires and emitting rapid, high-pitched beeps. No injuries or idea who might have left it there.
