Speed limits are being lowered on some streets that pass through Ball State’s campus. Strees like McKinley Avenue, whose speed limit was 30, will go down to 20 miles per hour. City officials say with the number of pedestrians and auto traffic, the reduction is needed. The changes are planned for 8 strees, including McKinley, Neely, Riverside and University avenues, Talley and Gilbert Streets. The speed limit changes were approved pending city council’s ok.
