On This Week in Delaware County this weekend on several of our Radio stations, hear our Hometown Hero of the Month, BSU President Geoffrey Mearns, Chad Kinsella on election outcomes, and Congressman Greg Pence.


After a sentencing modification was issued this week, Delaware County Prosecuting Attorney Eric Hoffman said in a release, “A vicious, callous, and brutal killer has been granted early release and turned back into our community despite the repeated objections of the Prosecutor. Matt Stidham’s crimes were pre-meditated, brutal, and disturbing.” Delaware Circuit Court No. 2 Judge Kimberly Dowling granted a Motion for Sentence Modification which ordered that Stidham be released from prison and placed on probation. On May 13th, 1993, Stidham was convicted of Count Murder, Robbery, Criminal Confinement, Battery, and Auto Theft. The Indiana Supreme Court has characterized Stidham’s crimes as “brutal” and “horrific.”

From Indiana Senator Todd Young, “I joined with over 100 members of Congress to urge President Biden to stand up for American families whose lives have been upended by the People’s Republic of China’s (PRC) decision to end the vast majority of inter-country adoptions.” Young said in a release that approximately 300 children in the PRC – some with various health conditions – are already paired with families in the United States, including a number of Hoosier families.
