Open Enrollment Update

Time is running out – Open Enrollment is on now

Suzanne Clem from Open Door was on WMUN yesterday, as a featured partner agency of the Heart of Indiana United Way. She said Navigators can help you – hear more about it on WMUNmuncie.com.

2 p.m. – that’s the kick time for the final home game of the season for Ball State football Nov. 23, when Bowling Green comes to town. Live, on WMUN.

“Opt Outside” is a nationwide movement to venture outdoors on Black Friday. That day anytime between 1-4pm, head to the Red-tail Nature Preserve (10441 South Co Road 461 E Selma) for an afternoon of unguided wandering, wondering, and discovery. This event is free, just show up between 1-4pm.

Parking & Nearby Attractions:
Parking at this nature preserve is limited.
Please plan to carpool if you’re coming as part of the group.
Overflow parking is available along County Road 461E, across from the entrance of the preserve.

For an extended adventure, you may park at one of these nearby attractions, and walk or bike to Red-tail Nature Preserve:
Cardinal Greenway Trailhead at Prairie Creek
Located a mile a half from Red-tail Nature Preserve.
10 minute-bike ride (or 30 minute walk) on the Greenway to Red-tail Nature Preserve.
Prairie Creek Trails
Located just under a mile from Red-tail Nature Preserve.
20 minute walk to Red-tail Nature Preserve.

Newly elected people to office have a different start date at the Statehouse, says Indiana Senator Scott Alexander

from WMUN last week. The long budget version Session convenes in January.

A bell ringer example, from Major Curtiss Hartley

the kick off event is tomorrow at Cornerstone Center for the Arts, from 12 noon – 2 p.m.

Bigger bucks

As we told you first on WMUN’s Delaware County Today, Dr. John West is the Fisher Governance Award Winner

that’s Jud Fisher of the Ball Brothers Foundation.

Governor Eric J. Holcomb issued a proclamation declaring Nov. 15 America Recycles Day in Indiana. In partnership with the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM), the proclamation recognizes the only nationally recognized day in the U.S. reminding us of the importance of recycling.
