The Hartford City Fire Department confirmed on Wednesday that a man died in a house fire that took place Saturday morning. It happened at a residence on the 500 block of S Monroe St. CBS 4 reports one victim was removed from the residence’s living room and taken to an area hospital. On Wednesday, HCFD confirmed that the victim has since died and identified him as 63-year-old Phillip J. Curtis.
