The Star Press reports Republican Stephen Brand won the District 1 seat, defeating Democrat Ashley Wright. Delaware County Republicans — incumbents Jessica Piper and Eugene Whitehead, and a former council member, Bradley Bookout — also claimed the three at-large seats on Delaware County Council.
