Ball State University has purchased the Northwest YMCA for use by the university’s men’s and women’s tennis teams. Ball State’s board of trustees approved the purchase of the property at 3500 N. Chadam Lane — for $1.45 million — last week. The Star Press reports the Y will lease the facility back from Ball State until the new downtown Y is ready for occupancy.
