$434 Thousand Price Tag So Far In Boards Prosecution

Madison County has spent $434,000 in the death penalty case of Carl Roy Webb Boards II. According to the Herald Bulletinm, Boards is charged with the July 2022 shooting death of Elwood police officer Noah Shahnavaz. Madison County Auditor Rick Gardner said last week the county is paying the cost through interest earned in the public safety local income tax Rainy Day fund.
