According to social media posts by his family, and confirmed by Muncie Mayor Dan Ridenour, former Muncie Police Officer Corey Posey was found not guilty on 7/10/24, after his third jury trial related to allegations of police brutality and cover up. As of 4:30 a.m. ET on 7/11/24, no comment has been provide by the Mayor, only sharing that he will be briefed on 7/11/24 by the current Muncie Police Chief. As for the Court, they confirmed the verdict, but wrote they, “…won’t be writing a release as of now…” A statement from Posey was provided to WRTV, read that and more in their report below.
