Madison County Prosecutor Rodney Cummings said a deadly shooting this week in downtown Anderson was apparently an act of self-defense. The Herald Bulletin reports Cummings said Friday he has not received an official investigative report from the Anderson Police Department, but he believes from the information he has that Mark Squillante acted in self-defense when 41 year old Michael Piercy was shot.
