Lots of changes around the City of Muncie – a new HR Director was announced last week on social media, recently a new leader at Muncie Animal Care and Services – no word given for the changes. Also changes at Destination Muncie, formerly the Muncie Visitors Bureau – also no official word released on reasons for leadership changes there. There have also been rumors of changes at Prairie Creek leadership though we’re still waiting for official word on that, too.
A student from Burris Laboratory school is off to the National Spelling Bee. Leo Furlong, a 5th grader from Burris, recently qualified for the Scripps National Spelling Bee. The finals will be broadcasted for two nights, May 29th and May 30th.

The East Central Indiana Regional Planning District will be offering a free Digital Skills workshop on May 9th. The workshop is open to the public, with the goal of teaching and improving attendee’s basic digital skills. Autumn Marshall will lead the workshop, and the event will take place at Eastern Indiana Works at 2:00 p.m.
