With help from Health First Indiana and other grants, the Madison County Health Department has set sights on a number of initiatives and have their work cut out for them in areas such as obesity in the county. 46% of the adults in Madison County, while the statewide average is 35%, according to Health Department Administrator, Stephenie Mellinger. She said they hope to roll out collaborative programs later this year.
