A half million dollar fire engine now calls Station 2 in Anderson home, but Anderson Fire Chief, Dave Cravens tells Woof Boom News the cost was not a burden to taxpayers. He said the new unit was paid for with user fees. The new truck is replacing an engine that had been in service for 12 years. The new engine seats up to six firefighters and pumps 1,250 gallons of water per minute and a 750 gallon tank. Station 2 makes about 1,600 runs each year.
