You can help friends and neighbors with a donation to the Friend to Friend Utility Assistance Program. Heart of Indiana United Way’s Kim Williams says you can do it from your phone. She said you can text the word “GIVEHEAT” to 91999 and a link will be sent to you for a donation online. OR if you prefer to write a check, make it out to “Heart of Indiana United Way”. In the memo line write “Friend to Friend Utility Assistance Fund” and send it to P.O. Box 968, Muncie, Indiana, 47308. Williams said every cent goes to energy assistance.
