Madison County Council approved budget transfers Monday to pay for overtime and part-time help for the sheriff’s department. The Herald Bulletin reports lawmakers approved the transfer of $41,799 in the sheriff’s department budget to pay for overtime expenses. Council also approved transfers in the amount of $78,000 to pay overtime and part-time costs at the jail.
