Former Madison County Councilman Steve Sumner may have fled the state of Indiana after failing to appear at a court hearing last week. The Herald Bulletin reports the 52 year old was supposed to appear Thursday in Madison Circuit Court Division and did not appear. Sumner faces 13 sex related crimes.
