The Alexandria-Monroe Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday announced it is merging with the Madison County Chamber of Commerce. Inside Indiana Business reports the chambers said the merger will create more exposure for Alexandria chamber members by connecting them with a larger audience. The Alexandria-Monroe Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1957. It was not immediately clear if any employees would be negatively affected by the merger.
