A New Castle man faces felony charges stemming from his alleged battering of a toddler. According to the Star Press, 27 year old Darnel Jeron Fox is charged with battery resulting in serious bodily injury to a person less than 14 years old and neglect of a dependent. Fox is accused of abusing his son last July, just weeks shy of the child’s second birthday, leaving extensive injuries, say authorities.
