The trial of a former New Castle police officer facing excessive force allegations had been scheduled for this month, but has been postponed. According to the Star Press, 45 year old Aaron Jason Strong was indicted on deprivation of civil rights and witness tampering counts. He’s accused of kicking one arrestee in the head and shooting another, at close range in the back, with a bean bag shotgun in July 2017.
