Payless Shoesource is reportedly on the verge of closig all of its 2,700 stores across the country including the once in Muncie and two dozen others across the state. Reuters is reporting the company plans to liquidate after attempts to find a buyer for the chain have been unsuccessful. Payless filed for bankruptcy in 2017 and exited with some $400 million in loans.
