Neighbors of the now-closed Halteman Village swimming pool complex are hoping the city will turn it into a park. Residents are asking the Muncie city council to work with the neighborhood to develop the land into a city park or similar public space. An online petition that had almost 50 signatures by the end of July makes the same plea.
