Contaminated Anderson Wells; Water Department Says It’s Safe

39 contaminated sites leftover from industry that boomed across Indiana have been designated by the Environmental Protection Agency as Superfund cleanup sites. The EPA’s summary says that contamination has been found in three of eight water wells serving 13-thousand Anderson residents. Director of the Anderson Water Department, Neal McKee said that the water meets all state and federal safety standards and the cleanup will help ensure continued water safety and quality.
