Woman Charged With Cutting Cop’s Finger And With Misusing 9-1-1

A number of charges face a New Castle woman whom police say cut the finger of a police officer responding to her home and also misused the county’s 9-1-1 system. Police say 47 year old April Dudley had been drinking when police got to her home on the 1300 block of H Avenue Tuesday night. As she tried to grab keys from an officer’s hand, her fingernail cut his finger. Also, she allegedly dialed up 9-1-1 and demanded to speak to the chief of police. Police say her blood alcohol level was a .25, more than three times the legal limit.
