Study: Indiana’s Lack of Tax Funded Pre-K Contributes to Pay Inequality

Pay inequality runs high in Indiana, according to a new study. 24/7 Wall Street says the state’s lack of tax-funded pre-K leads alot of couples to either leave the workforce or absorb the high cost of private day care. The study looked at things like male vs. female salaries, the percentage of women holidng management positions and how many 3 to 4 year olds are enrolled in state funded pre-K programs. Indiana ranked 44th overall.
