Muncie City Council will consider a landlord-registration measure. The mayor likes it an the idea behind it is to have a rental registration program that will improve the transparency rental housing in the city. The ordinance will be introduced at Monday’s council meeting. About half of all housing units in the city are rentals. One provision in an earlier draft that required rental properties to be inspected, has been removed from the latest version.
